WHERE TO EAT AT LUMEN FIELD DURING SEAHAWKS GAMES

Seattle Seahawks fans are blessed. Not only do they root for a team that is never boring, they also get to take advantage of one of the country’s best stadium district dining scenes. Lumen Field is right next to downtown Seattle, unlike all those NFL stadiums that are millions of miles away from their respective cities. (Just where is “Foxboro, Massachusetts” anyway?) So there’s a tailgating scene outside Lumen, but you don’t have to eat and drink out of the trunk of your car if that doesn’t sound appealing to you. In fact, there are tons of public transportation options that get you to Lumen, so you don’t need to drive at all — what a concept!

But where do you eat after you go inside the stadium? That’s what we’re here to help you with. Here are our recommendations for food at Seahawks home games for the 2024 season:

New to Lumen Field for 2024

Bam Bam Smash Burger [Section 122]

Local small business owner and Seahawks legend Kam Chancellor is bringing the burgers served at his Bellevue sports bar Legion to Lumen... and they might be the best thing in the stadium? There’s a regular smash burger and the Seattle Smash Burger, which is a take on a Seattle dog — burger patties, white American cheese, jalapeño cream cheese, and grilled onions. It’s rich and powerful with plenty of heat thanks to that jalapeño.

Bar Dojo [Club Level sections 208 and 236]

This Edmonds restaurant is a newcomer to the Seahawks’ food lineup (it previously served food at Sounders games). It wins the “wait, you can get that at an NFL game?” award with its birria ramen and poke nachos, a dish that pairs sashimi-grade tuna with a bunch of toppings and wonton chips — we’ll take that over any of the “traditional” nacho offerings in the stadium. Also on the menu are xiao long bao from local frozen dumpling company MiLa. Note that you have to have access to the Club Level to eat here.

Sausage Carts [Sections 107, 138, 306, and 334]

There’s one thing on the menu here — if that counts as a menu — but it’s a doozy: a footlong hot dog topped with braised short rib, crispy onions, and pickled shimeji mushrooms. The mushrooms are what makes this stand out; they impart a woodsy, slightly acidic tang that liven up what is basically a big ole pile of meat.

Home Taste Advantage Portables [Sections 114, 131, 309, and 333]

This stand has a teriyaki burger that features short rib topped with pineapple salsa and teriyaki sauce, but we’re going to recommend the turkey leg, which is smoked and given a glaze of Korean-style barbecue sauce — it’s spicy and a little sweet and you’ll feel incredible biting into a whole dang turkey leg while you yell approvingly at a sack.

Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizza [Sections 107 and 137]

Wood-fired pizza at a stadium? Eh, sort of — the pies are parbaked and then taken to Lumen, but they still have a chewiness to their crusts that is pretty, pretty good. It’s the kind of food that’s kid- and adult-friendly. Tutta Bella also serves salads and tiramisu which doesn’t seem like football food, to be perfectly honest? But don’t let us stop you.

Cooka T’s Kitchen [Section 116]

It can be hard to find vegan food at football games, but chef Tarik Abdullah has you covered. His stand is once again serving plant-based nachos, mac and cheese, and curry. This spot earned Lumen a shoutout from PETA last year for being a notably vegan-friendly NFL stadium.

Gourmet Noodle Bowl [Sections 105, 313, and 337]

Noodle soup at an NFL game? No, actually, Gourmet Noodle Bowl is featuring its pork belly bao buns at Lumen, and they are the perfect stadium food: handheld, bready, meaty, a little bit sweet, and substantial enough to soak up those tailgate beers.

Saigon Drip Cafe [Sections 111, 133, 315, and 330, and Club Level Sections 204 and 240]

The Vietnamese restaurant in Pioneer Square is a good option if you want to grab a Vietnamese coffee on your way to the stadium, but it’s also providing tofu and chicken banh mi at Lumen’s Grab and Go fridges. This is a great option when you want a substantial meal but don’t want to wait in those lines.

Big Walt’s Kitchen [Sections 126 and 321]

This concession stand from Seahawks legend Walter Jones is heavy on the chicken — it has a Nashville-style hot chicken sandwich along with tenders and fries and a rotating sauce menu that will maybe (maybe!) have you forgetting about the team’s current struggles on the offensive line.
