A RUNNING LIST OF LOS ANGELES RESTAURANTS IMPACTED BY THE 2025 PALISADES AND EATON WILDFIRES
On January 7, amid life-threatening, high-speed winds across Los Angeles, multiple wildfires broke out, including a fire in Pacific Palisades that later spread to Malibu, and also in Eaton Canyon, near Altadena. In the evening, Mayor Karen Bass declared a state of emergency for Los Angeles in response to the multiple growing fires.
The Palisades fire rapidly grew to nearly 3000 acres as of 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Officials declared a mandatory evacuation order that began at the northern border of Santa Monica and stretched to Topanga Canyon and Mulholland Boulevard. The fire then spread to Malibu, destroying longtime restaurants and bars in its path, including Reel Inn, Cholada Thai, and Rosenthal Wine Bar.
The Eaton Canyon fire was first reported around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and officials declared mandatory evacuations across Altadena, La Cañada Flintridge, and the surrounding neighborhoods as the fires spread. On Wednesday night a fire also broke out in Hollywood and the Hollywood Hills, triggering mandatory evacuations, but the flames were contained by Thursday morning.
By Thursday morning over 130,000 Angelenos are under evacuation orders and about 400,000 people are without power due to the fires.
The affected neighborhoods are populated by a number of restaurants. As Eater confirms fire-related closures and impacted restaurants, this list will be updated.
